Kiba could remember, with startling clarity quite a few events that, as far as he was concerned were the defining moments of his life. There were many important events, his battle with Naruto during the Chunin Exams, the Fourth Shinobi World War, his marriage to the Hyuuga heiress, the birth of his first daughter. But two would always stand out clearest, untouched by time or experience.

Accidentally Given To You NejiTen Neji and Tenten walked out of school, going home their usual way, as was routine. They were arguing, rather loudly, attracting the attention of Naruto and Hinata. They decided to follow the disgruntled pair as their verbal battle turned more heated.
"I'm not that short!" Tenten fumed, which was true. Standing at a solid 5'6" one could hardly call the girl short. Neji, however, had a secret crush on Tenten, and very much enjoyed being taller than her. To him the idea of a girl being taller than the guy in a relationship was laughable.
"You're shorter than me." he stated, face betraying none of his emotions.

I'll Always Come For You NejiTen Part 5 When the people awoke the next morning all the Grass ninja had been killed or were awaiting their deportation back to their own village. The people couldn't comprehend after living under the thumb of the Grass for long that revolution was not only a shock, but an unthinkable move.
There's a certain point where you just give up hope that you'll be free, and my people had been way past that point.
I had Uncle lie and say that he had hired an ninja to kill the governor, allowing me my peace. My heart was not in the Village Hidden in the Fields, it was back in Konoha, probably training knowing him.

Keeping Secrets NejiTen "First day back at school!" Tenten cheered when she caught up to Lee and Neji as they were walking out of school. Neji merely nodded in assent, but Lee lifted her up, swinging her around and yelling about the youthfulness of high school.
Everyday Tenten, Lee and Neji walked home together, they chatted (mostly Tenten and Lee with Neji listening politely) and had a generally nice time. It was something they had been doing since they went to elementary school together.

New Years NejiTen "Only five minutes until it's the new year!" Kiba reminded me, slumping drunkenly onto my shoulder and I promptly shoved him onto a couch. The mutt began flirting with the girl next to him, trying to get situated for the moment of the new year, the moment the minute turns and you turn to the person next to you and just kiss them.
"Neji, hey how are you?" some friend of Hinata's put her hand on my shoulder, trying to strike up a conversation, but I didn't have time.

Painter's Tape The cloying smell of fresh paint is a two-faced demon, offering a prophetic vision of new life and new beginnings whilst trapping you under an invincible mist of toxic residue. Partially high and dizzy due to impalpable fumes, Tenten paused for a smidgen of a second, before shaking her head to try and release the noxious fumes that have entered her system. Hand on the partially opened door, she pushed gently, widening the opening to see the usually indolent Shikamaru busy with a paintbrush.

The thought remaining in the Hyuuga's mind kept replaying over and over, as he questioned himself once more. It was pointless, his Uncle Hiashi had told him it would be good for him, never the less his cousin had gotten a date and was asked to take her there.

All sorts of metal flew through the air, a crackle echoing around them whenever they met a target. The source of the weapons was a rather rugged-looking girl with two buns holding up her brown locks. Those buns, though, looked as though they were about to collapse and let her hair fall wherever it pleased. Flecks of dirt were smudged across her face, hiding the flush of her cheeks from working her body to such extremes. The exercise she was getting wasn't exactly from training, though. Neji's spring The whirlwind of his attacks had sent the cherry tree petals flying around him, landing like some sweet scented snow at his feet.
In the forest, birds were singing, squirrels were chirping away, a symphony of soft noises as the nature was awakening again from her winter slumber.
Farther away, he could hear people's voices, calling on each others, singing, laughing.
He took a deep breath, focusing again. Spring was just spring, nothing more than a change in the seasons. Why bother with all those ceremonials and emotion displays?

Don't Look Back Nejiten Team Guy raced down the halls of the small fortress. A local warlord has taken over an area of the Land of Fire, and the four ninjas had been assigned to the task of taking out the main citadel where the warlord, and undoubtedly a great number of ninja bodyguards would be hiding.

Lee and Guy raced ahead with Tenten and Neji not to far behind. Neji had his Byakugan activated and was scanning the hallways for any signs of life. Due to some amount of foresight on the part of the designer of the strong hold the sides of the hallways were lined with led, allowing the white eyed jonin to only see the path they were on.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder NejiTen Coming back was the hardest mission of all. Returning from the final battle with the Akatsuki after watching your friends die beside you would've been hard enough without the celebration waiting for them in Konoha. The weary soldiers walked down the familiar streets, tired, saddened, and feeling anything but victorious.
Civilians threw flowers, cheered, and patted ninja's backs. Spouses who had been left behind searched desperately for their lover, some cries of joy, some sobs of pain when a body on a stretcher was recognized, some clinging to life, others with their faces covered.

Then he saw her, curled up with bruises littering her tan skin, lying against the side of the gym. Although it was not the ideal state to find her in, Neji was just happy she was alright. He could see from where he walked that her chest rose with slightly uneven beats, but it wasn't too sporadic.

Dear stupid Diary,

Have I mentioned that I hate Math class? Orochimaru-sensei is a totally creeper and gives really hard tests. I mean I'm an English girl, math just isn't my thing. English, gym, and lunch are the only good things about school. And Neji, Neji makes school fun too.
Today he and I were sitting at out table with Lee, who was trying to shovel down all his food so he could get back to running the track, and FOUR girls came over in the forty minute period to ask him out. Brats. He told them all no, of course, which makes me wonder why they keep asking.

The Mess I Made NejiTen "Neji!" Tenten exclaimed, surprised by the white eyed man's sudden appearance at the training field he hadn't been to in months. Neji understood all the feelings that ran through the kunoichi's chocolaty brown eyes. Fear, confusion, hurt, anger; he knew he was the cause.
"Tenten, I want to explain…" Neji started, trying to look straight at her face despite his strong desire to look down as he talked.

WARNINGS: Old prompt, but I couldn't think of anything for the current ones. I just felt like I needed to do some NejiTen. Tensey, tiny, bit of angst, but nothing you haven't seen already in these stories.

The 'verse' used here is a favorite of my sister, and I blame her for its creation. So, credit there where it is due, I guess. It might be AU, I suppose, but might not be.

A lot of the customs I'm referencing is from ancient China, but since Team Guy is largely inspired by Chinese culture, I figured I could blur the line a little this one time.

well that's okay you can be a part of more than one group. plus bladed-love has been dead for months now. This one is actually the most active Nejiten club on dA. We're the home of Nejiten Month and the secret santa events each year and have a wide variety of events throughout the year.
